Procedural analysis
Topic 1: Available technologies
What does the learner do? The learner will analyze each of the available technologies and construct meaning from their implementation in the classroom.
What does the learner need to know to do this step? The learner needs to have a general background in technology.
What cues inform the learner that there is a problem, the step is done or a different step is needed? Visual cues: The learners appear puzzled and confused about each of the technologies. Tactile cues: The learners are having trouble maneuvering through the available programs.
Topic 2: Training for the technology
What does the learner do? The learner will participate in user-friendly training that gives hands-on access to the technologies available for use.
What does the learner need to know to do this step? The learner needs to know the programs available for each technology. The learner needs to be able to identify uses for each program in the classroom
What cues inform the learner that there is a problem, the step is done or a different step is needed? Visual cues: The learners are having trouble accessing the programs and finding uses for implementation. Tactile cues: The learners are having difficulty accessing the programs (i.e. internet connection problems, etc.)
Instructional objectives
Cognitive Objectives --recall the basic steps in implementing all available technologies --explain thoroughly the steps to the potential audience of students --apply the skills needed to implement the technology effectively --analyze the students’ usage and understanding of the importance of the programs --create activities for student implementation --evaluate student use based on performance
Psychomotor Objectives --given two to four weeks to complete the assignment, the students will effectively implement an activity into their classrooms for usage with 90% accuracy --demonstrate the techniques outlined in the program by week three with a 85% accuracy
Affective Objectives --The learner participates in the training with much enthusiasm --The learner shares his or her interests and ideas for implementation with colleagues --The learner spends extra time preparing for training sessions
