Team Member A – Brandi Lockhart Section I: Unit Overview
This instructional module addresses the creation of blogs for the purpose of introducing a new element of technology in an educational setting. The learner is presumed to be a group of K-12 educators who have some knowledge of technology but are not currently using tools, namely blogs on a daily basis. At the end of this unit, the educators should be able to complete the following goals: 1) Describe what a blog is 2) Effectively use blogs in weekly lesson plans 3) Increase student engagement through the use of blogs The guide will include a table of contents to assist with navigation of the instructional module. The instruction should only last roughly 30-60 minutes. Educators desiring additional technology assistance will be referred to Tech Savvy Academy for more individualized instruction.
